Paychex Office Rebranding with Wall Murals, Canvas Art, and Signage

An office rebrand needs to carry through the whole space. For this Paychex project, Lawton Printing & Graphics brought together wall graphics, large canvas artwork stretched onto wooden frames, and practical office signage.

From conference room walls to room identification and evacuation information, each piece served a different purpose. Together, they formed a coordinated interior graphics package that balanced brand presence with everyday use.

One office, several types of graphics

This project combined decorative and informational pieces. Large graphics established the visual character of the space, while smaller signs helped identify rooms and communicate important information.

The package brought together wall murals, printed artwork, and room and wayfinding signage. That combination is useful for facilities teams planning a broader corporate office refresh.

The practical takeaway

Plan the interior as one graphics package, then choose the right construction for each location. A conference room canvas, an adhesive wall mural, and an evacuation map have different production and placement needs.

Three parts of the interior rebrand

Wall murals and environmental graphics

Branded murals and patterned wall graphics gave hallways and shared spaces a consistent visual direction. Large artwork needs to account for the actual wall, including corners, doors, and other interruptions.

Large stretched canvas artwork

The conference room featured large printed canvases stretched onto wooden frames. The coordinated panels added depth and a clear focal point without covering the entire wall.

Room identification and wayfinding

The smaller signs mattered, too. Room identification and directional information help employees and visitors use the space, so wording and placement need the same attention as the larger graphics.

Functional signage belongs in the same plan

The Paychex photo set also includes a mounted fire evacuation map. This kind of piece has a different job from decorative artwork, and its content needs to reflect the facility’s approved information.

For a similar office refresh, confirm room names, directions, and safety information with the facilities team before production. Review applicable requirements using the U.S. Access Board’s signage guide and OSHA’s accident prevention signage standard.

These references support planning for future projects. They do not establish the compliance status of the signs shown here.

What we handle behind the scenes

For an office graphics package, the process starts with understanding the space and the purpose of each piece. Lawton can help coordinate file preparation, printing, finishing, delivery, and installation around the approved scope.

Scope and file setup

Confirm locations, dimensions, artwork, and intended use. Our design and file preparation support helps turn those requirements into production-ready pieces.

Proofing and finishing

Review content, crops, panel layouts, and visible edges before printing. Plan stretching, mounting, and other finishing around how each piece will be displayed.

Delivery and installation

Organize pieces by destination and coordinate site access. Our installation services help connect the finished print to its final location.

Where office graphics projects usually run into trouble

The main risk is treating every graphic as an independent order. Small differences in files, measurements, and approvals can become visible once everything is in the same room.

1. Artwork approved without site measurements

Doors, outlets, furniture, and wall edges can interrupt the layout. Confirm the actual location before locking the artwork.

2. Canvas edges left out of the proof

Artwork wraps around the wooden frame. Keep important details clear of the wrapped area and approve the front crop before production.

3. Different versions reach production

A revised logo or room name can be missed when files arrive separately. Use one approved schedule and clearly identify the final files.

4. Installation planned too late

Wall readiness, building access, and meeting room availability affect the schedule. Confirm those details while the graphics are being planned.

What this prevents

A coordinated review helps catch placement conflicts, incorrect sign content, and finishing issues before they become reprints or extra site visits.

Best practices for a similar office refresh

  • Create one location schedule. Give each piece a room or wall reference, finished size, quantity, and installation location.
  • Review the materials together. Canvas, wall graphics, and sign panels can reproduce the same artwork differently. Review representative samples when consistency matters.
  • Approve content and placement. Check room names, arrows, map orientation, and artwork crops alongside the visual proof.
  • Confirm wall readiness. Share the wall finish and condition with production so material selection and installation planning reflect the site.
  • Keep approved files organized. Retain the final artwork and location schedule for replacements or future office changes.

Questions about office interior graphics

What did the Paychex office graphics package include?

The project included wall murals and environmental graphics, large canvas artwork stretched onto wooden frames, and office signage. The photos show conference room artwork, branded hallway graphics, a break room sign, and a fire evacuation map.

When should we use canvas instead of a wall mural?

Use stretched canvas when you want a separate artwork piece with depth and defined edges. A wall mural works well when the graphic should cover a larger area or become part of the wall surface.

Can several types of office graphics be coordinated together?

Yes. A shared artwork review and location schedule help coordinate wall graphics, canvas pieces, and signs while allowing each item to use an appropriate material and finish.

What should we send to start planning?

Send site photos, approximate dimensions, available artwork, a list of locations, and your target schedule. Include any building access restrictions or rooms that need to remain available.

Can installation be scheduled around an occupied office?

Installation can be planned around site access and room availability. Share working hours and access restrictions early so the scope and schedule can be reviewed.

How do we plan room identification and safety signs?

Start with facility-approved content and confirm the requirements for each sign type. Review accessibility, safety information, and placement before approving production.
