Quick snapshot
  • Office Manager at Lawton Printing & Graphics
  • Grew up in the shop, working for her grandmother Barbara Lawton
  • Known for pitching in wherever she’s needed—front office to back room
Long before she was Office Manager, Jennifer Christilles was a twelve-year-old in the back room, shredding stacks of paper for her grandmother, Barbara Lawton. Watching Barbara and Greg build Lawton, Jen saw what it looked like to show up every single day and keep a company moving. That’s the through-line in how she leads now. Jen talks about “leading from the front” and reminds the team she’s never too good to take out the trash. If she’s asking someone else to do a job, she’s willing to jump in and do it herself—whether that’s balancing the numbers, answering phones, or pitching in on a rush project.

“Barbara got up every day, got ready, and came in—no matter how she felt. Jen has that same drive. If we need her here, she shows up.”

— Cheryl Howard, Jen’s mom and Lawton’s Accounts Receivable lead since 1991
Outside of Lawton, Jen also carries full responsibility for a small neighborhood business of her own. That experience of “owning the whole thing” shapes how seriously she takes this business and the people in it.

“Jen leads from the front. She knows this business from the ground up and never asks anyone to do a job she isn’t willing to do herself.”

— Greg Howard, Jen’s step-dad and Lawton’s Co-Founder, Owner & President
As Greg continues to lead Lawton, he’s also involving Jen more deeply in the financials and operations—making sure she has a full-picture view of how the business runs. For now, her focus is on learning every corner of the shop and protecting the people-first culture that Barbara helped start.
